Review: Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion on Acne-Prone/Oily Skin
I’ve been using Cetaphil for about a year now, but each bottle lasts for about several months. It’s quite good for the oily skin but I recommend slathering it on during night time. Even though the bottle claims the lotion to be “non greasy” I find it too greasy for my oily skin. Good hydration for dry skin, however.

YEA, this is pretty greasy. I only suggest wearing it at night time cause I would not DARE to wear this during daytime. I think it would be a pretty good moisturizer for night time.
Eucerin is great, too! It’s thicker but it’s not as greasy. It didn’t relieve any “immediate” redness if you’re aiming for that.

I used Eucerin at night time only. I use SPF stuff during the day. It can lead a white film over the face if I don’t spread the moisturizer evenly.
The Cetaphil doesn’t cause the Cetaphil is more watery than the Eucerin. The only complain is that it’s greasier than the Eucerin – probably because of the vegetable oils in it.

I have no problem when I put it near my eyes (even where the :”puffiness” of the eyes begin). Could it be that area is sensitive to the lotion since the eye area is pretty delicate? My eyes burn only when I put aloe vera gel near my eyes because the aloe vera is the “cousin” plant to the onion !!~ (it stings for about 30 seconds, and that’s it). Hope you’re okay!

I have very oily, sensitive, fair skin and am also very familiar with Cetaphil products, which I love. The lotion is “ok” but tends to break me out a bit. I started using the cream, the stuff in the big tub, as a cold cream, washing it off with a warm washcloth and that definitely is better for my skin. No breakouts and my skin is soft. No need for an additional moisturizer.

Yes you can put it on your face. It’s a great moisturizer for basic skin care. And yes it can be put under makeup – so that your foundation/concealer doesn’t look cakey! Make sure you don’t put a lot because it’s pretty greasy. Hope that helps.

The neutrogena products dont work for me either, but the lotion I mentioned is the only lotion I can use in the summer.The full name of the clearasil stuff is Clearasil Stayclear Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream. Thx for the suggestion. : ) I’ve tried Neutrogena products before but didn’t really like them cause it didn’t really help my skin. What’s in the Clearasil treatment? You’re right, her skin is GREAT. Did you try the Cetaphil lotion/mositurizer too?

I have VERY OILY skin and the best lotion I have found for my acne prone/ Super greasy face is Neutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Defense Face Lotion. Also I use a thin layer of Clearasil Invisible Treatment at night. I started using the Clearasil after seeing a video reveiw on it by magicgrl111. Her skin is amazing!

My skin felt hot and I started to break out. No releif from redness. Of course everybody is different. I’m happy to hear you are liking the Eucerin. I found the Aloe toner to be sticky. I guess I must be more combo than dry. That didn’t irritate my skin though. It’s so funny because I just got back from the post office to return my Body Shop order. I guess I just love my Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar too much. Nothing else seems to compare.

Thanks, how did it irritate your skin? I am actually using it after I was done with the cetaphil. So far I’m using it for about two-three weeks. It’s going pretty good so far, I see the difference between the moisturizer’s textures. I tried the aloe toner from them, I actually loved it!! What else are you using?

I know it is strange, but true. Eucerin Redness Releif might be ok for you, but for me I felt it irritated my skin more and as far as any redness releif, no releif there. I also find Eucerin to be rather greasy. I guess it’s all personal preference. If you try the Cetaphil Moisturizing cream, let me know what you think. Good luck. Hi there! I found the Moisturizing Lotion to be extremely sticky and absolutely love the Moisturizing Cream. You should try it. It isn’t sticky its more smooth. You can purchase it in the 3 oz. tube and try it before investing in a larger container. Just a suggestion.
