What is an appropriate age for a girl to use skincare products

My nine year old daughter is having some skin problems. I don’t want her to go through what I did by being teased at school for skin problems. I would like her to start using skincare products. Is she too young to start caring for her skin and which products are recommended? Can anyone help, please.

I don’t think so…i say go for it. Of course I suggest a more mild skin care (don’t go rushing out to buy Pro-active for the girl). I have Nivea Young. It’s really nice, not strong at all but it still works!! Plus I hate it when skin care products burn or make your face feel really cold, and this one doesn’t.
Cheap To! Even just go to a pharmacist, they might be able to suggest something. You want something for young and sensitive skin.

  2. the basic rule is when they hit puberty, it is the hormones that make acne.
    if she is having problems then of course you should be dealing with it, the sooner you get it under controll the less likely she is to scar.
    my daughter has severe dry skin and has used a moisturiser since she was a baby, it just depends on the situation.
    you want to get her into a daily clense, tone,moisturizing routine and find some acne treatment that works for her.

  5. No way she isnt too young, i use apricot scrub. I started using it when i was her age and im 16 now and still using it. It really does help my skin, hope all of these answers help
